VALDOR WATER RESOURCES formed in response to the demand for private and public sector projects to achieve compliance with the evolving and increasingly stringent stormwater management (SWM) and flood risk management criteria in Southern Ontario. Our specialized team undertakes complex assignments for a wide variety of water resources related issues including projects following the Municipal Class EA process.  VALDOR provides expertise in 1D/2D floodplain mapping, flood risk and mitigation studies, hydrologic and hydraulic studies, Class EA studies, creek stabilization and restoration, culvert installation and replacement, SWM pond sediment removal, municipal SWM guidelines, and peer and plan review services.  In addition, VALDOR excels at a number of other development related water resources services including SWM pond design and retrofit design, dual drainage design, hydrologic and hydraulic investigations and erosion analyses, flood risk assessment for proposed development and mitigation design, sewer capacity and hydraulic grade line (HGL) analysis, water balance, low impact development (LID), erosion and sediment control design, phosphorus balance, septic system design, dry hydrant design and litigation technical support including expert opinion and testimony related to LPAT hearings.  Many of our public sector engineering design projects also include a construction services component.  In completing the construction services component of our public sector projects, the Head of Water Resources works closely with VALDOR’s Construction Management Group in providing tender preparation, construction inspections and contract administration services.  For more information related to our Water Resources Services, or to request a proposal, please contact our Head of Water Resources, Bill Coffey, M.Sc., P.Eng. (bcoffey@valdor-engineering.com).
